STATE FAIR OF TEXAS

From the end of September to mid-October the locals flock to the State Fair of Texas. Twenty four days of live music, rides, games, shows and exhibits, the State Fair of Texas offers something for everyone. As the largest state fair in the nation, the State Fair of Texas is known for its devotion to frying just about anything, including Oreos and the famous Corny Dog. Since its inception in 1886, it has celebrated all things Texas. From carnival games on the Midway to Grambling State University versus Prairie View A&M University game, the State Fair of Texas is a major attraction and not to be missed.
