Magic City

What’s unique about Miami and why should we visit?
Miami is one of the unique cities in the world. What makes Miami so cool is you could be driving down 8th street, better known as ‘Calle Ocho’ by the locals, and pass by the Maximo Gomez Domino Park where you have older Cuban men playing a game or two with their friends in the middle of the day with a cigar in hand. As you drive further east on ‘Calle Ocho’ you run into Brickell, which is a much younger, professional sort of scene. Then you can drive up the MacArthur Causeway into South Beach, which is practically a world unto itself – filled with awesome restaurants, beaches and fun things to do. Long story short – what makes Miami so unique is that it is filled with so many different cultures, ethnicities, and flavors there is no way you could ever get bored.
Local Customs:
There is a mix of so many Caribbean and South American influences that there aren’t specific customs that isolate Miami, and I think that is what truly makes Miami such a memorable place to visit. The community is such a melting pot.
Where do the locals hang out?
The great thing about Miami is that there are so many different neighborhoods that each has their own unique vibe. We recommend visiting as many as you can. There is more movement lately in places like Wynwood, the Design District, and Midtown; these places are booming with new restaurants and places to live. They have changed the landscape over the years for the better of the Miami community.
