Nature lovers will enjoy spending the afternoon at the Dallas Arboretum. This 66-acre botanical garden, located on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake, is also the home of the internationally acclaimed Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden. A “museum without walls,” children and adults will learn about science and nature in the 17 indoor and outdoor galleries.
Every spring, the arboretum’s major floral festival, Dallas Blooms, sees the garden explode with color when more than 500,000 bulbs burst. With nearly half a million bulbs on display each spring and crowds pouring in day after day, Dallas Blooms has grown into one of the Dallas’ most spectacular yearly events.
