I guess halfway between a speakeasy and a Victorian Bar, Shoreditch’s Worship Street Whistling Shop has a cult following amongst London’s cocktail connoisseurs, and with good reason. I’ll never forget the ‘Juniper Journey’ – a tutored tasting of rare Tanqueray gins, held in what looked like a cupboard inside the venue. I think it was here that I discovered my love for gin, England’s favourite spirit.
