A typical Sunday involves attending Mass (or making up a good excuse as to why you weren’t there), having a few drinks at brunch, and an afternoon of shopping in the French Quarter. Find hundreds of little boutiques selling everything from vintage guns to leather purses to doggy treats. When you tire, hop into one of the many voodoo shops or have your hand read. If you aren’t up for the supernatural side of New Orleans (shame on you), catch a break at one of the oldest bars in America- Lafitte’s Blacksmith Bar. Built between 1722 and 1732, the brick establishment still stands today and is frequented by all who shop in the area.
