MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. MEMORIAL

The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is the newest monument to grace the National Mall where he delivered his signature “I have a dream” speech almost half a century ago. A 30 foot statue of Dr. King carved out of two stones has two thought provoking quotes etched into the sides. It is a powerful reminder of our rich and sometimes painful American history.
