Fried chicken may not be a native Alaskan dish, but The Lucky Wishbone is an Anchorage institution nonetheless, dishing out pan-fried chicken, homemade onion rings, old-fashioned milkshakes and burgers since 1955. Located on the outskirts of downtown, The Lucky Wishbone is a throwback to 1950s Alaska, sporting the original décor (or at least an excellent facsimile of it) and historic photographs of Alaska’s aviation history. Try the Pop, which gives you a breast, leg, thigh, wing and back.
