London’s Smallest Police Station, located in the south-east corner of Trafalgar Square is a pretty cool thing to see. It’s often overlooked. It’s basically a hollowed out lamp post installed in 1926 – and apparently with a direct line to Scotland Yard! It was put there to monitor protests – as Trafalgar Square is a very popular spot for demonstrations. Today it’s no longer used by the police, it’s used as a broom closet for Westminster Council cleaners.
