Head to the International District (formerly called Chinatown, now referred to as the International District) for some of the best Asian food around. Whether you’re longing for Chinese, Japanese, Cambodian, Taiwanese, Laotian or any of the specialty flavors that I might have missed you’ll find it in the I.D.. Restaurants range from walk up takeout cafes to full-service restaurants with linen tablecloths, and the food is as outstanding as it is diverse. The hub of the International District is Hing Hay Park, so start here and have a walk around. After a filling lunch, head over to Uwajimaya for some shopping.
