For over 20 years, FareStart has offered culinary job training and served as a placement program for homeless and disadvantaged men and women. Their weekly guest chef meals have evolved into a full fledged restaurant (open lunch only), with all proceeds from the guest chef dinners (Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m.) and lunch being directed back into the training program. Great food, fun atmosphere, good cause. That’s hard to beat.
