DETROIT INSTITUTE OF ARTS

The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) houses one of the most impressive art collections in the country. It is considered to be among the top six American art museums and has made its home in the Motor City for over a century. One of the most notable distinctions one can take away from a visit to this expansive and beautiful building is the diversity of the collection. There are pieces from literally all over the world and several noteworthy possessions. The museum is open every day except Monday, with varying daily hours.
