The Big Peach

Atlanta-Piedmont-Park

Why should we go to Atlanta?

The beautiful thing about Atlanta is that you can get a little bit of everything. The city is known for their “pockets” of neighborhoods all accessible within the perimeter (aka Interstate 285) in 15 minutes or less. You have Little Five Points for your trendy shops and hipster bars, Virginia Highlands for excessive (but strictly) local restaurants, Buckhead for high-end shopping, and the list continues! If you love a big city without the hustle and bustle, Atlanta is definitely the spot!

Local Customs:

The Southern Hospitality will be the first thing you notice here. Everyone is overly friendly (at least most of us are) and do not mind lending a hand. Like I mentioned before, Atlanta is recognized for their Neighborhoods so don’t get confused when people direct you to places with other town names.

Where do the locals hang out?

Piedmont Park is the biggest park in Atlanta where you will find locals here for every event. Whether it’s for a morning run or a bike ride, you can find people out at all times of the day. Piedmont Park hosts a Farmer’s Market every Saturday morning. From time-to-time, the park also hosts concerts, art festivals, and food festivals. The park also has a public pool, tennis court, and a Botanical Garden.
