Museum of Modern Art

The Museum of Modern Art, referred to as the MOMA, was established in 1929. It focuses on modern and contemporary art, primarily works from the last 150 years. It has almost 200,000 works and is considered by many to be the most important museum in the world for modern art. You will find works by Vincent van Gogh (The Starry Night), Henri Matisse (The Dance I), and Henri Rousseau (La Bohémienne endormie), to name a few.
