Alcatraz Island

Alcatraz is famous and sitting pretty right in the middle of the Bay so it would be almost a crime (pun intended) to visit San Francisco and not go on a tour. It is very much a part of San Francisco’s history and is also fascinating. There are ferries that will take you out there and it’s always a typical tourist attraction that you can be sure to have a colorful experience on. You can also see amazing views of the city, the East Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge from the island. Local Tip: Go online and book your tickets ahead of time
