Union Square is gorgeous and a wonderful place to shop, eat and explore. It’s the Rockefeller Center of San Francisco. Many of the most expensive, beautiful hotels in the city are near this area and for a good reason. The shopping and restaurants are out of this world. It is also the best during the holiday season when a gorgeous Christmas tree is lit up and locals and tourists alike can be found ice skating.
Union Square is also a fantastic place to shop. There is Macy’s and a lot of high-end shops as well as more commercial ones nearby. Union Square can be touristy but definitely offers a fun city vibe. Mall settings are found more outside of the city. If you enjoy more recognizable brands, labels or typical stores that you would find in a mall, you will find Victoria’s Secret, Anthropologie, Forever 21 or H&M around Union Square. You will also find Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Louis Vuitton as well.
