Not only is historic Georgetown where you will find a mix of high-end retailers chains with small local boutiques that is reminiscent of a high street in London; Georgetown is also home to the Stone House, the oldest original structure in Washington, D.C., and the City Tavern Club, the oldest commercial structure in the city. But it also has a portion of the C&O canal running through it.
