Alki Beach Park, located in West Seattle, is a long beach strip that runs alongside Elliott Bay. It’s a great spot for a 2-mile walk any time of year, and in the summer you’ll find joggers, rollerbladers, volleyball players, sunbathers, bicyclists and strollers out to enjoy the sun. This beachfront is my favorite area in Seattle, and the views of Downtown Seattle and the Puget Sound cannot be beaten. Especially the views of the Olympics on a cloudless spring day. It’s also home to restaurants ranging from hamburger joints to upscale gourmet. If you love Mexican, make a stop at El Chupacabra, sit on the deck, and enjoy the view while sipping on one of their delicious margaritas.
